Once again, that lull of everything awesome is coming to an end, and Gagapus the Lady Gaga-impersonating Octopus intends on preying on an astronaut.  That only means one thing:  NERDFIT IS COMING TO YOUR TOWN (okay, maybe nearby city and/or your state’s capital, whatever.  Bite me.)

NERDFIT GOES WEST.

What?  THAT’S RIGHT.  Get your banjos, your people-eating, ten-gallon hats and your other incredibly stereotypical southern objects!  We’re heading to SGC – ScrewAttack’s Gaming Convention! If you weren’t there last year,  you missed out on one of my favorite cons of the year!  Aside from myself and DeMarcus rocking your faces at panels, you’ll be able to hang out with Brentalfloss, talk classics with Keith Apicary, get made fun of by Stuttering Craig rocking a bullhorn, and play games until you can’t even breathe!

So, if you’ve listened to 2 Guys 1 Mic before, you should know that I love chiptunes much like how my fat brethren love cake.  If you’ve seen me at conventions or playing video games, you’ll know that I LOVE Guilty Gear and its ever-so-amazing soundtracks.  If you could combine the two, I’d be having a nerdfit from the awesome overload.

My first glance at The Megas were at Game UniCon during their Friday night concert.  I didn’t want to listen to them online;  I wanted to get my first impression from seeing them live on stage.  When they first came on, I heard their Dr. Wily Stage 1 & 2 cover named I Want to Be the One.  I was sold instantly.

Deviating from nerd content? So soon? Well it appears so but this is a very special case. I’ve been waiting for this album for months so when it finally arrived at my doorstep earlier this month I had a smile a mile wide. Now that I’ve given it a good listen it’s time to find out whether the agonizing wait was all for naught, or whether it goes above and beyond the expectations. (Ohohohoho just shoot me…)
